Bolesta’s professional development program is led by Auditory-Verbal therapists who believe in our philosophy and have a commitment to the Bolesta Model. Through this Model, a multi-disciplinary approach to training and advancement is followed to include AVLI multi-media products, on-site immersion program, and an off-site, needs-based training program.
The Professional Development program at Bolesta offers a range of educational experiences including:
- Direct observation and co-therapy with a Auditory-Verbal Therapist
- Question and answer session with Auditory-Verbal Therapist
- Videotape observation
- Detailed analysis of live and videotaped therapy sessions
- On-site visits to your facility or school
- Direct observation of therapist and/or teacher with written feedback provided
- Lecture/presentations to group of professionals in your local area
- Participation in pediatric audiology exams
- Participation in public and private school teacher consultations
Professionals are provided with a variety of handouts and resources including interactive training tools.
Module I: Introduction to Cochlear Implants and the Auditory-Verbal Approach Hierarchy of Listening Skill Development
Module II: Normal Stages of Speech & Language Development Understanding the Bridge Between Listening and Language
Module III: Applying Speech Acoustics in Therapy Advanced Auditory-Verbal Techniques & Strategies
Module IV: Applying Auditory Techniques in a Classroom Setting Listening Skill Development for School-Aged Children
